i'm the kind of guy who's generally
uncomfortable at parties. and as for halloween i haven't dressed up
for 20 years, when i had a very lifelike ronald reagan mask that scared
kids. so when i got invited to a halloween
party a couple blocks from my house, and was, of course, the only
one there not in costume, i had to take other measures to entertain
myself. this little girl was the last of the partygoers to be photographed,
and i think you can see the hesitation on her face. i believe there
was some bribery with candy involved on the part of her parents. see
