my feeling is you always make
friends with the security guards and the janitors. nobody else ever
has as much power or influence over the things that really matter.
they can make your life hell, or they can make your life easy. mike
garcia is the president of the local janitors union in downtown los
angeles. he's also very accomodating of last minute shoots, and quite
a nice guy. though ironically their building could probably be cleaned
up a little, and it sure would've been helpful had they turned on
the elevator on the weekends. still, the guy seems beloved by the
people he represents, and that's got to count for something. |
