david jackson was born in peru with a severe facial deformation. he was abandoned by his biological parents because of it, and eventually was adopted by a plastic surgeon from europe who did over a hundred operations on him to rebuild his face. now david is in his late twenties, living in southern california. he is the subject of a long running BBC documentary called "the story of the boy david" - with a filmmaker following his whole life, since he was a boy. this was shot for the london sunday telegraph review, in the parking lot of a restaurant in west hollywood. david's comment on west hollywood: "people here have had more plastic surgery than me." he is more confident, funny and comfortable in front of the camera than most people i've known. he is also a CCR fan.
