joey buttafuoco on the street
outside the four seasons hotel in beverly hills at ten o' clock at
night,shot in about ten minutes. i didn't even get a chance to reload
– as soon as the rolls were done, so was joey. still, he was
very personable and seemed to really enjoy posing (at least for a
few minutes) and he was smoking a cigar which is always a great prop.
there's something about this particular picture i've always liked
– it almost looks like he's just been shot, since you can't
see the cigar – the archetype of the fallen gangster. he invited
me to a party and said "bring your wife or your girlfriend"
and then said, beautifully, "bring your wife AND your girlfriend." |
