labs to be in the robotics labs are far and away the most
fun for the layperson. that's because it's not all just
formulae and numbers, but there are things on wheels,
things with claws, things that can move and pick up other
things and, if you're lucky, maybe even fight with other
things on wheels. maja mataric is a computer science/artificial
intelligence professor at USC, and if you look closely
at the errol morris movie, fast
cheap and out of control, you'll see her in the background
as a young woman chasing robotic insects around. |
