| 'turbine whisperer'
isn't ewald's official designation. it's just what some
of the engineering professors at USC call him. ewald schuster
is the creator of the world's smallest jet engine. he
actually put one in a model of the batmobile once, which
alone gives him more geek-cool than you or i will ever
hope to have. he's been building motors since he was a
kid, and now runs a lab at the USC school of engineering.
not bad for a guy who never went to college. |
