"Nicole was never diagnosed
with anything as a child. She always looked fine, ever since she
was a kid. She was seven years old when she had her first surgery.
"She was running at school and she passed out and fell right
on her face and she was out. A doctor at the Children's Hospital
here thought that it was just weird for a little kid to do that,
so he sent her to UCLA to have some scientific tests done, pretty
much to see what the heart was doing. Well, they didn't get that
far. They did an angiogram and saw that she was missing her left
coronary artery. For seven years the left side of heart hadn't been
getting any blood to it at all. I've got pictures, it's really amazing.
