ethan says you can’t get a good B&W conversion out of a digital camera. i disagree. this is an out-take from a recent corporate shoot, something that was never meant to be in black & white, but i couldn’t resist tinkering a bit. it’ll likely never see the light of day in this version, aside from here. so, there you go, ethan. i’m sure you’ll still disagree, but i tried.

    I stand corrected, to an extent. Digital still can’t handle the extreme highlights and subtle gradations within highlights and shadows that film can (this is coming from someone who uses digital 95 percent of the time), but this is a nice conversion.
