van ditthavong hits the west coast
Written on June 1, 2008

i got to meet up with van ditthavong last weekend, at the tail end of a cross country road trip he was taking. the trip served to deliver a car to van’s sister in irvine, and also to further a personal project of his to photograph fire hydrants in all 50 states. still, on a road trip it’ll be hard to get alaska and hawaii. anyway, van’s a fellow wonderful machine photographer, and a talented guy at that. he lives in dallas, where life seems a bit easier, things go with a drawl and nobody claims publicly to be a vegetarian.
van was nice enough to sit for a picture even though the allure of pinkberry was close at hand. thanks, van, for taking the time to say hello. i hope the trip back to dallas was good.
