jory wolf is the chief information
officer for the city of santa monica. part of this means that he oversees
the communications system that control 911 emergency calls. this picture
was taken in the room which apparently housed all the wiring that
make this possible. we could overhear the dispatchers on the calls.
they seemed amazingly calm, considering the words coming out of their
mouth. in between calls they ate candy and heckled us. it's always
amazing to me what stresses people can get used to. |
