at the time of this shoot john
miller was the head of counter-terrorism for the LAPD. before that,
though, he was a reporter for ABC, and he got the first major interview
with osama bin laden several years ago. this, i gather, put him in
a unique position to run things around this town, hopefully having
certain insights into the workings of terrorists. this was shot for
los angeles magazine, at the bomb squad headquarters, where they rolled
out all sorts of tricks for us - bomb containment trucks, a guy in
a flak suit (he could only be in there for twenty minutes at a time
'cause it got too hot) and a bomb defusing robot. i'm a sucker for
robots. |
