aside from family members, it
seems that joe rogers knows two people in los angeles: me, and the
guy who makes his suits. i say this because a couple months after
this picture was taken i was awakened at 6am by a telephone call from
joe. i was half asleep, so it took me a couple minutes to understand
what he was saying, which was that the seams in the shoulders of his
jackets were coming apart and he would have to bring them by for repair
the next time he was in town, and was that okay with me. sometimes
i just don't have the energy to explain things fully to people, especially
at that hour, so i told him that'd be fine, he should just drop them
off when it was convenient. and then i went back to sleep. aside from
having the class to have custom tailored clothing, joe rogers was
the youngest lieutenant governor of colorado, and now travels around
the country speaking to colleges and companies about civil rights. |
