my good friend, and the official
Smartest Guy I Know, barry sanders, sitting amongst the books at his
home in pasadena, on the eve of his retirement from decades of teaching.
barry sanders deserves to take it easy for a few minutes. his elbows
here rest on stacks of legal pads, all full of writings far more brilliant
than this one, and no computer in sight. though there's a nasty rumor
going around the publishing world that barry actually has an email
address. i know it, and i'll never tell. it's been too long since
i've had the opportunity to photograph barry - like i said, a busy
man, deserving of a break. thanks for making the time, barry, always
good to see you. |
