at the time this was shot alexi
lalas was the star player of the L.A. Galaxy soccer team. as such,
it was kind of a pain in the ass to get to him to do this shoot. after
many many phone calls with publicists we finally arranged a time for
the shoot. alexi was obviously a media pro. he brought his own soccer
ball, did a handful of tricks in front of the camera and then left.
total time spent: roughly ten minutes. he seemed a little confused
when i asked him to just hold the ball and stare at it, but ultimately
i liked this quieter, less flashy picture best. these days alexi is
retired from the sport and is now the president and general manager
of the team. |
