| marianne alireza was
born and raised in southern california, but in 1943 married
a saudi man and lived in a saudi arabian harem for fifteen
years. she later got divorced and her husband took her
kids. all things considered, though, she has an amazingly
positive view of her experience and of life in saudi arabia.
she wrote a book about her life in the harem called "at
the drop of a veil". |
